Vicente Gandía is a century-old winery founded in Valencia in 1885 and currently run by the fourth generation of the Gandía family. With its 140 years of history, it is one of the 10 oldest company names in Valencia. From its beginnings to the present, the winery has been faithful to its founding values: to contribute to the progress and well-being of society by betting on quality and innovation without forgetting the wine tradition to which it is heir.

In 2021, the winery celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first commercialization of Castillo de Liria as a bottled wine. A risky bet that ended up becoming the Valencia Protected Designation of Origin brand with the most sales and an international presence in more than 60 countries.

The commitment to internationalization has always been one of the pillars of Vicente Gandía, which today is present in more than 90 countries on 5 continents. In addition, in recent years it has worked day after day to produce wines from the main appellations of origin in Spain.

Currently, the winery has a wide variety of wines. The diversification and segmentation of the assortment are key to reaching all types of consumers. It currently produces wines in 8 appellations of origin: Valencia, Utiel Requena, Alicante, Cava, Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rías Baixas and Castilla León.

One of the main values ​​of Vicente Gandía is its Terroirs, exercising direct control over 500 Hectares of vineyards spread over different estates. The commitment to making iconic wines has been reflected in the acquisition in 2019 of the Finca Casa Gallur in Caudete, 61 hectares of Singular Viticulture in one of the best production areas such as "Vall dels Alforins". La Finca Hoya de Cadenas, the jewel in the crown of the winery, is an oenological paradise that is located just 90 km from the city of Valencia with more than 300 hectares of vineyards of the noblest local and international varieties. Being protected between the slopes of the Sierra de la Bicuerca, it enjoys a particular microclimate in which the thermal oscillations between day and night give the grape its own characteristics and facilitate the accumulation of polyphenols.

In addition, this same estate has an art museum called "Arte En Barrica" ​​which houses a collection of barrels decorated by prominent Valencian artists, which have been exhibited at the ARCO Fair and at the IVAM (Valencian Institute of Modern Art). A project that combines art, culture and wine in which prestigious artists such as: Mariscal, Miquel Navarro, Carmen Calvo, Paco Roca or Cari Roig, among others, capture their works on authentic barrels used for winemaking. La Finca Hoya de Cadenas, the Vicente Gandía wine tourism complex, is one of the first in Spain to commit to a concept of wine tourism linked to art and culture.

Vicente Gandía has modern facilities that include a production cellar at Finca Hoya de Cadenas that houses the underground barrel room with 15,000 selected oak barrels. All the barrels have a capacity of 225 litres and come from the forests of Missouri (United States) or Allier (France). Blending varieties is an art, which is why we use oaks from different origins and different types of toasting to achieve wines of maximum expression and complexity.

The winery has a team of 8 oenologists led by the technical director Diego Morcillo Fortea, who day after day deposit all their love and passion in all their wines. In addition, the company has the most modern and advanced technology in the wine sector that guarantees the highest quality for consumers harvest after harvest.

This way of elaborating allows combining the most traditional methods with new technologies and integration with industry 4.0, also contributing to energy savings and care for the environment.

Each year Vicente Gandía obtains the highest qualification in the BRC and IFS standards, the most recognized and prestigious certificates in the world in the food sector. At a logistics level, it is one of the few companies in the world to obtain AEO certification as an Authorized Economic Operator that guarantees compliance with strict safety standards, legal regulations and economic reliability.

For several years, the winery has also been working to integrate sustainability transversally in everything it does, since it is rooted in it by the very nature of its activity. For this reason, it has the best technologies that, combined with traditional production, contribute to controlling the environmental aspects associated with its organization. As a result, we have obtained the “SUSTAINABLE WINERIES FOR CLIMATE PROTECTION” certificate.
