Fetherston Vintners was established in 2015 by Chris Lawrence and Camille Koll. Following on from careers in the hospitality and wine industries, our deep love of food and wine forged a desire to create beautiful wines to share with those we love, and so Fetherston was born.

We are dedicated to working with small parcels of premium fruit from cool-climate regions of Victoria and create expressions that encapsulate each region beautifully.

With each passing vintage, our brand and our wines mature and evolve, as do we.

As we look to the future, our vision is to control every aspect of the vine-growing and winemaking process. In late 2022, we purchased 40-acres of prime viticultural land in Hoddles Creek – in the cool hills of the upper Yarra Valley – a mere stone’s throw from Camille’s childhood farm. It’s a massive project, starting with the removal of remnant berry bushes and infrastructure, rehabilitating the soils then eventually planting out our vineyard.

In the vineyard we take a biological approach, bringing balance and biodiversity to the ecosystem and allowing for the truest expression of each site to shine through in the wines. Abstaining from the use of herbicides and allowing native grasses to flourish, the natural composition of the soils improves with each vintage, building habitat for beneficial microbes, insects and other life-forms.

- Pyrenees
