About

Domaine Daurion is a Sleeping Beauty of Languedoc, coming back to life. A family estate about 60 hectares, located in Caux, on the basaltic hills of the antic city of Pezenas, in Occitania. From that hill, we craft organic and volcanic wines from AOP Languedoc - Pézenas and IGP Pays d'Oc.  Built on a prehistoric volcanic site, the origin of the estate dates back to 1709 when a world famous organ maker, Dom Bedos de Sallès, sat up the place for his work. However, the first traces of viticulture date back to Roman times. This legacy, passed down through several generations, saw the birth of the very first Chardonnay vines planted in Languedoc, during the 70's. This unique aspect of the estate gives us an important advantage in producing white wines.

Committed to nature and respect for the land, all our vines have been cultivated organically since 2020. Each of our wines are highly characteristic of their individual soils with basalt, clay-limestone, and Villefranchian terroirs. Our goal is to extract all of the freshness and minerality possible from our soils to pair harmoniously with the fabulous fruit provided by our grapes. This is made possible with the help of an abundance of Occitan sunshine. Our ethical approach in the vineyard: to meet the needs of the plant in order to produce quality organic grapes.
