Founded in 1888, Champagne Joseph Desruets is one of the oldest family-run Champagne houses in Hautvillers, the historic birthplace of Champagne. For over a century, the Desruets family has upheld a deep-rooted commitment to traditional methods, artisanal craftsmanship, and the purest expression of terroir.

The house cultivates 2.2 hectares of vineyards, growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier on the historic slopes of Hautvillers. Certified organic (AB - Agriculture Biologique), Champagne Joseph Desruets is dedicated to sustainable viticulture, ensuring that every grape is grown with the utmost respect for nature and biodiversity.

At the heart of their production is a wooden Darcq-Flamain press, dating back to 1888, which is still in use today—one of the last of its kind in Champagne. This dedication to heritage, combined with a forward-thinking organic approach, allows Joseph Desruets to craft expressive, elegant, and terroir-driven Champagnes.
